La historia, los viajes y la abuela
Colombian Pilar Lozano is a journalist, childrens and young adult literature writer and promoter of reading and writing. She will talk about her latest book: La historia, los viajes y la abuela. This story begins with a long vacation. Grandma had everything ready (tickets, books, suitcases and maps) to undertake a long voyage throughout Colombia. The objective: to weave, with everyone, the history of the country, from the first dwellers, passing through the conquest, the pirate attacks, the African slave-trade and the Botanical Expedition, until they arrive to the day in which the Spaniards pack their things and leave this land for good. With the vivacity that defines her, Pilar Lozano tells the history of Colombia in a very entertaining way, in a book full of travelling, colour and adventures. The book also includes full-colour illustrations by Paula Bossio. From 10 years on

In this workshop, taking as a starting point some books illustrated by him, Alekos proposes to carry out image-reading and try to guess what the illustrations tell us about the tale, a story recital and a couple of songs.
